Mui Ne: The White Sand Dunes

After an hour or two of riding around, this opaque color started to creep up off in the distance, after some dangerously fast tour buses barreled past us it hit me that the white sand dunes may be on our way. We were just out and about, no plans...and we drove on...to find...the White sand Dunes!!!

We were able to pull our bikes to the side and a guy watched them for us, but prior to that, we drove down a sandy path where there were more bumps than a massage chair with a screw loose.
It was clear that this was a place that tourists check out, there were two massive buses parked and several motorbikes, but it was quiet!! Walking through a wooded area we were approached by locals to buy long sheets of plastic to go "dune surfing" and then we were offered ostrich and horse rides. I got excited, I love horses and miss riding but...the state of these animals was heart breaking. Horses beyond emaciated and expected to carry people on the sandy terrain along with naked ostrich carrying extra weight...as much as I would love to help the locals out...I can't.
I did find a horny monkey though.
